MIRI: FBSB FC will represent Miri in the State Inter-Club Champions League after they defeated Lun Bawang Sporting Club 1-0 in the Fazco Premier League final here on Sunday.

Two of their players, Hasnul Husni and Mohd Arif Sepawi, also won the league’s top scorer award.

The league, under the sponsorship of Fazco Academy Sdn Bhd, was aimed at scouting talent as well as developing local football.

The winner at the state-level Champions League to be held in Kuching from Oct 10-15 will vie in the national-level league.

A total of 10 teams participated in the Fazco Premier League organised by Miri Football Association (MFA) in collaboration with Football Association Sarawak (FAS).

The final match was kicked off by Assistant Sports Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin.

Also present were MFA president Mohd Saif Jubaidi and FAS vice president Sazali Abd Rahman.
