MIRI: Youths are reminded to always improve themselves and be relevant with the time and not to neglect their religious duty.

Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau said youths must have confidence in whatever they did as it (confidence) played vital role in determining their success.

“Don’t be left behind in this globalised world and keep the faith. Success breeds more successes,” he said at the launch of Youth Impactors Carnival 2015 orgaised by the Miri branch of Gempuru Besai Bujang Ngau Dara Malaysia at Miri City Council premises yesterday.

This is the fourth time the carnival is held. The last one was held in Bintulu in 2014. The event is also supported by Gempuru Besai Raban Kristian Jako Iban Malaysia Miri Division.

According to Dennis, youths should use their time to conduct quality activities.

“Being involved in social activities allows you to meet more positive-thinking people,” he said.

More than 1,000 Christian youths took part in the carnival and one of its aims is to raise fund for the upcoming Youth Convention to be held here from July 15 to 18.

Among activities held at yesterday event was a 5km charity jogathon which was flagged of by Dennis.
