BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam will begin fasting on Thursday, June 18, 2015. The delegation assigned to sight the new moon of Ramadhan yesterday comprised of Shari’e Court Judges and Shari’ah Court Officers, State Judiciary Department, the Prime Minister’s Office, with officers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Survey Department, Ministry of Development, and Officers of the State Mufti Department, the Prime Minister’s Office.
They failed to sight the new moon of Ramadan at the designated locations, the DST Tower of the DST Headquarters Building, Tungku Highway, Bukit Agok, Jerudong in the Brunei-Muara District, Bukit Lumut in the Belait District and Bukit Ambok in the Tutong District.
