Huawei P8 launch event today was held in Kuala Lumpur with the unveilling of a few Huawei devices and accessories that includes Huawei P8, P8 Lite, Y3, Y5, Talkband B2 Classic and Talkband B2 Elite.
During the event, Huawei announced the Huawei ‘WeiToCreativity’ campaign is aiming to build an intensive emotional connection with consumers.
The Huawei P8 is certainly the main highlight of the event which the latest Huawei flagship smartphone features a 5.2 inch 1080p LTPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by a 64-bit Hi-Silicon Kirin 935 Octa Core processor that is mated with 3GB of RAM and 16/64 GB of expandable storage depends on its variant.
The P8’s rear camera adopts a 13MP OIS camera sensor that is capable of capturing light in RGBW (red-green-blue-white) pattern that promises to improve shots in low light condition. On the front we have a 8MP snapper for selfie or video calls.
There’s a 2,680 mAh capacity battery powering up the device and it comes with 4G LTE connectivity which is running Emotion UI 3.1 based on Android 5.o Lollipop out of the box.
The P8 is available in our local market now at a retail price of RM1,799.
The P8 Lite is a lower spec variant of the P8 that is housing a 720p IPS display. It has a slim body measuring at just 7.7 mm of depth which is a perfect integration of design and craftsmanship.
The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz 64-digit octa-core Kirin 620 SoC and it is mated with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
Its camera combo are 13MP rear and 5MP front. It packs a rather small size 2,200 mAh battery, and it comes with dual SIM slot that support 4G LTE. Out of the box the P8 Lite runs EMUI 3.1 with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Huawei P8 Lite will be retailed at RM899 which is considered affordable for consumers at large.

All of the above mentioned devices will be available at all Huawei authorized retail stores nationwide from today onwards.
