Today is the day of vivo Grand Launch Malaysia event that was held at KLCC in Kuala Lumpur where the company made an official introduction of the company after the brand have been in the local market for around a year.
Apart from revealing the company’s portfolio, vivo Malaysia also introduced their latest X5 series smartphone, the vivo X5 Pro to our local market.
From the exterior of the phone, it shares a similar design language with the iPhone 6’s unibody design which the 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 are placed on both front and back of the device. The X5 Pro is covered with a Nano-crystal coating on its surface.
There’s a 6.4mm thin chassis on it that is made from a combination of aluminium alloy and stainless steel.
The X5 Pro is offering a 5.2 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and it is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor that is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
We also know that the display features Smart Wake 2.0 which allows screen off gesture to quick launch apps.
vivo X5 Pro sports a 13MP f/2.0 camera with Phase-detection Autofocus which is similar to the Galaxy S5’s ISOCELL camera and it could be the same as the one on the OPPO R7. Its front-facing unit is a 8MP f/2.4 that has beautification mode. Its built-in camera app also comes with gender recognition etc.
vivo is famous for their audio quality, the X5 Pro brings its Cirrus Logic DAC AK4375 audio chip to further enhanced its HiFi audio quality.
It is a dual-SIM with 4G LTE connectivity. It should be noted that the second SIM card slot is sharing with microSD card position. So you can only choose one between the this two cards.
It has a battery capacity of 2,450 mAh and it is running Android 5.0 Lollipop with its own custom FunTouch OS 2.1 skin on top.
The vivo X5 Pro will be retailed at RM1,599 and it is available at over 2,000 point of sales outlets and 10 service centres nationwide.
