MIRI: The closing date to sign up for the Dynasty Hotel Charity Run is this coming July 1.
Event coordinator Titus Tusing said besides raising funds for those in need, the run on Aug 2, starting from the hotel’s main entrance, is also good for health and a great way to bond with family and friends.
“As the closing date is approaching, we’d like to urge all interested runners to register as soon as possible.
“After the closing date, no entry forms will be accepted as we need time to produce the finisher medals,” he told a press conference yesterday.
“Adding to the excitement, fantastic prizes also wait to be won.”
The top collector of donations will receive a Miri to Kuala Lumpur return ticket, while the second highest collector will get a Miri to Kuching return ticket and the third highest collector a Miri to Kota Kinabalu return ticket. For the fourth highest collector, there’s a two-day, one-night Mulu Cave Tour and a two-day, one-night stay at Dynasty Hotel Miri awaits the fifth highest collector.
“It is hoped that more runners and families will participate in the charity run as there are more categories to choose from. Rest assured, it shall be a lovely Sunday morning for everyone who turns up,” he said.
Indocafe and Revive will sponsor the free flow of coffee and isotonic drinks for participants during and after the run.
Entry is RM50 per person, while for the family category of one adult and one child aged 12 and below it is RM100 per team. Pledge cards and entry forms are available from the hotel, or the Dynasty Hotel Miri Facebook page or Share Tea outlet at Boulevard Commercial Centre.

The Dynasty Hotel Charity Fund was set up in 2003 by Dynasty Hotel Miri managing director Tony Pui to raise funds to help those in need during festive seasons in collaboration with the Welfare Department.
