Das, Ambiga to represent See and Pauls in EC appeal

KUCHING: Kuching High Court has granted ad-hoc practising license to constitutional expert Datuk Cyrus Das and former Bar Council chairperson Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan as lead and co-counsels for See Chee How and Pauls Baya in the Court of Appeal hearing of the Election Commission Appeal.

Justice Datuk Yew Jen Kie, who was appointed by Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Panglima Richard Malanjum to hear the application today, granted the license after hearing the submissions by See who represented Cyrus and Ambiga, Advocate Association of Sarawak president Leonard Shim and state Attorney-General Chambers’ representative Dayang Jamilah Tun Salahuddin.

The Court of Appeal hearing will be held this Thursday (July 9) in Putrajaya.
