KUNDASANG: The relief centre which was opened at Kem Bina Negara on Sunday to temporarily shelter mud flood victims from Kampung Mesilau ceased operations at 8 am today.
Ranau district officer Faimin Kamin said the victims had all returned to their respective homes.
On Sunday, 284 villagers from 66 households in Kampung Mesilau were evacuated as a safety measure after mud floods inundated the nearby Sungai Mesilau.
Nevertheless, as of 6 pm yesterday, most of the victims had returned home leaving only 62 at the centre. –BERNAMA
