KUCHING: Fans of Ziana Zain can catch the Malaysian songstress at the ‘Aidilfitri with Ziana Zain & Friends’ celebration to be held at Pullman Kuching from 3pm onwards on July 24.

The renowned singer will be entertaining fans in a high-tea session organised by Luv Liss Enterprise and Fizz Makeover Studio in collaboration with Sarawak Bumiputera
Chamber of Commerce (DUBS) women’s wing (Dewanita) in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration.

“We hold this event to provide an opportunity for Sarawakians, particularly the needy, to celebrate Hari Raya with Malaysian celebrities from Peninsular Malaysia,” said Luv Liss Enterprise founder Lisdawati Nazaruddin in a press conference at the hotel yesterday.

Others present were ‘Aidilfitri with Ziana Zain & Friends’ deputy project leader Mohd Fizree Montgomery, project secretary Syafrie Izwan Wahab and DUBS Dewanita chief Juita Drap.

Lisdawati, a popular actress in the Malaysian entertainment scene, will be one of the celebrities performing during the event.

“We have also invited other celebrities such as Fauzi Nawawi, Uqasha Senrose, Raja Ilya, Julia Ziegler, Sasha Saidin, Iqram Dinzly, Shah Iskandar, Encik Mimpi as well as Miss World Malaysia 2014 and Sarawak’s very own Dewi Liana Seriestha,” she disclosed.

‘Aidilfitri with Ziana Zain & Friends’ will serve as a cultural exchange programme for local celebrities.

“I was told that Hari Raya celebrations in Sarawak have always been festive and jubilant and that Muslims here
celebrate for seven days and seven nights wearing their best ‘baju Melayu’ and ‘baju kurung’ unlike in Peninsular Malaysia where we usually don the traditional attire on the first day only.”

Lisdawati said several needy families receiving assistance from the State Welfare Department were sponsored for the celebration by individuals, corporate companies and welfare organisations.

“During the event we will be collecting contributions to be donated to charitable organisations and the needy in Sarawak.

“There will also be a fashion show by Altelia Amani and Butik Balqis with 30 per cent of proceeds donated to charity,” she added.

Tickets for ‘Aidilfitri with Ziana Zain & Friends’ are priced at RM1,500, RM2,500, RM5,000, RM10,000 and RM15,000 per table.
