LABUAN: Six cases of fallen trees were reported to the Labuan Fire and Rescue Department yesterday due to strong wind here.

The spokesperson for the department, Jason Bilin, yesterday said that the six cases happened at Kampung Lubok Temiang, Kampung Kubung, Kampung Tanjung Aru, Kampung Kerupang, Kampung Rancha Rancha and Kampung Kilan Pulau Akar.

“Our personnel were helping the villagers to remove some of the fallen tree branches where the roof of a house at Kampung Lubok Temiang was struck by the tree branches,” he said, adding there was no property loss and injury reported in the incidents.

The strong wind followed by heavy rain that occurred around 3.45pm in Labuan had caused panic among the traffic users at the town due to fallen tree branches on the road.
