LAHAD DATU: An Indonesian security guard was found dead while on duty guarding the building of Intan Sawit Office at the Pertubuhan Peladang Building in Jalan Segama on Friday.
District Police chief ACP Hamzah Ahmad Yesterday said the victim was identified as Mahar Bin Abdul, 30, who had been working at the office since about a month ago.
Hamzah said the police received a tip about incident at 11.25am on Friday from the owner of the office.
“The victim was found dead on bed by the clerk of the office about 8am. There is no sign of break-in and the office was neat and tidy.
“Investigation also revealed that the victim had contacted his wife and told her that he suffered headache. The victim also suffered from high blood pressure,” he said.
Hamzah added that there was no sign of injury on the victim whose body had been taken to the hospital for a post-mortem.
Police classified the case as sudden death.
