HM Congratulatory Message to Francoise Hollande

bruBANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to send a message of congratulations to Francois Hollande, President of France, as well as the Government and people of France on the occasion of Bastille Day, ©BRUDIRECT.COM  reported.

His Majesty said he very much valued the warm friendship and close cooperation enjoyed by the two countries, especially in the field of energy and defence.

His Majesty also acknowledged the contributions of the French community working in Brunei.

His Majesty was confident that these ties would continue to be strengthened in the years to come.

His Majesty conveyed his kindest regards and best wishes to the people of France for a happy celebration.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a message of congratulations to Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France.

“I have much pleasure in sending my warmest congratulations to you and the Government and people of France as you celebrate Bastille Day.

“I greatly appreciate the longstanding friendship and cooperation between our two countries, especially the contributions of your people in Brunei.

“I look forward to continuing our work together, both bilaterally and through our countries’ partnership in many regional and international organisations.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish your government every success in hosting the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.”
