SRI AMAN: All projects implemented in Simanggang constituency were from Barisan Nasional (BN) government, said its assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.

They include kampung roads, bridges, housing for the poor (PPRT) and also projects which are ongoing in his constituency, he said.

These projects were not from the opposition, he reiterated, adding that he regretted to hear of claims that some projects done in his constituency were not from BN.

Harden who is also Assistant Minister of Rural Development and Housing was speaking before the distributing of chicks to Rumah Sigan, Radau Ulu Undop here yesterday.

He denied allegations made by some local dailies that he neglected his constituency and did not visit the people on the ground.

He explained that when he is not seen around at his constituency, he may be on a working visit to other areas, he said.

Residents of Rumah Sigan, Radau and Samak Ulu Paku Undop indicated that they all support Harden and wanted him to be their candidate for the next state general election.

They said they regretted the accusations made against Harden especially one that came from a Sri Aman businessman. They said they had asked the businessman not to interfere in the work of their representative.

Twenty village heads from Samak, Ulu Paku received chicks provided by Agriculture Department of Sri Aman.

At the function, Harden handed a grant of RM20,000 to Rumah Gunong, Samak for them to buy housing materials for their new longhouse.

Also present were Sri Aman MP Masir Kujat, Sri Aman Divisional Agriculture Officer Renorld Ripin, community leader Pemanca Michael John, SUPP Youth advisor for Simanggang Patrick Michael, Cr Andar Suntar, and Cr Daniel Sawing.
