KUCHING: The Youth wing of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Bengoh branch will be organising the second edition of the football competition for the Dato Sri Dr James Dawos Mamit ChallengeTrophy at Kampung Simboh football field on Aug 23.

Organising chairman Miro Simuh told a press conference that the single knock-out tournament, open to villages and housing estates within Mambong parliamentary constituency, aimed to promote interaction, unearth potential talents and encourage healthy activities.

The top three teams stand to win RM1500, 1000 and 500 in prize money.

Entry forms can be obtained at Mambong Parliamentary service centre at Kota Padawan while enquiries can be directed to committee members Miro (013-8067163), Halix Kuyong (017-8061979), Bronnie Marshall (016-8784335), Eric Niru (012-8826545) and Henry (011-33714808).

Registration fee is RM350 including a RM100 refundable deposit.

Closing date for entries will fall on Aug 9 when the draw for teams will also be held.

Also present at the press conference were Kampung Simboh village chief Julin Semang and committee member Prem Notes.
