Burnt car kills four

MARTAPURA, South Kalimantan: Police Traffic Unit of Banjar, South Kalimantan, is now dealing with case of accident that killed four people. They were burnt alive in a car, Antaranews reported.

Head of Banjar Traffic Police AKP Rikha Sandhy Harso in Martapura said the traffic accidents on Thursday around 03.00 was a single accident. “This case is a single accident killed four passengers. Three were killed in the burning car, one died in hospital,” he said.

The four were riding Toyota Yaris DA 7666 B white color. They were Husnul (18), who died while receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

Meanwhile, the three colleagues were M khalel (31), the driver of the car, Ahmad Rizkon (25) and Asbi`ullah (33), who lives at Jalan Cempaka, Martapura, died at the scene.

“The car drove at high speed from the city of Banjarmasin toward Martapura alleged to slip and hit a tree at Km 15 at Jalan Ahmad Yani, Gambut Sub-district, and burning,” said AKP Rikha.

Meanwhile, the incident which occurred shocked the residents around the scene. They tried to help extinguish the fire to save the passengers. However, the rapid fire after a hard collision made the aid process quite hampered so that the victims on fire in the car.
