Traders told to toe the line by not displaying their goods beyond the yellow line.
SIBU: Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) has served compound notices on 13 traders for displaying their goods beyond the yellow line this month.
Council secretary Hii Chang Kee said their action had caused inconvenience to pedestrians.
“These traders were at Sibu Central Market, Grand Heights Market and Rajang Park Market.
“They are required to settle the compound within a week or face further action,” he said.
Meanwhile, two premises here were each slapped with a RM500 compound for breeding aedes mosquitoes.
Hii said the action was taken under the Destruction of Disease Bearing Insects Act.
