SEREMBAN: Police arrested three men, aged between 33 and 46, and confiscated various drugs, an automatic pistol, a magazine, a pair of handcuffs and 72 live bullets in a raid on a house here on Friday.

Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief, SAC T Narenasagaran said a police team from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, state police contingent headquarters found drugs believed to be Syabu weighing 1,190 grammes, heroin (455 gm), Ketamine (100 gm), opium (35 gm) and psychotropic drugs (89 tablets weighing 9.5 gm).

“We also seized three cars, a Toyota Estima, a Toyota Picnic and a Mercedes-Benz as well as a motorcycle belonging to the three suspects worth RM252,500.

“The three suspects who have a history of drugs and other criminal records, are remanded for seven days. The trio also tested positive for Syabu,” he told a press conference here yesterday.

Investigations revealed that the drugs obtained from Kuala Lumpur were to be distributed in Johor, while Negeri Sembilan only served as a transit point.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the Nilai Narcotics Division arrested a 52-year-old man and seized 275 gm of drug believed to be heroin from him.

The Jempol Narcotics Division also arrested a 36-year-old man on Friday and seized drugs alleged to be heroin weighing 25 gm, ganja weighing 1.1 gm and Syabu weighing 0.22 gm.

“The market value of all the drugs seized amounts to about RM390,000,” said Narenasagaran. — Bernama
