Sabah PAS behind Hadi, rejects GHB

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PAS will continue to support the leadership of PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and reject the Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB) or New Hope Movement set up by PAS dissidents, said Sabah PAS commissioner Aminuddin Aling.

He said there was no reason to set up the GHB in Sabah because the group was formed by PAS leaders disappointed with their loss at the party elections in June.

“We are with our president (Abdul Hadi). Those who have joined GHB are the losers in the (PAS) elections … and who desire positions,” he said when contacted by Bernama.

Aminuddin also reminded PAS members in the state thinking of joining GHB to refrain from using any asset of Sabah PAS.

“This is a warning. I do not want them to use our premises. These are for PAS members only. Find some place else,” he said.

Aminuddin also said that Sabah PAS could not act against any of its members who joined GHB because the entity had yet to be registered and was thus not yet an official body. – Bernama
