Three governor candidates in S Kalimantan Pilkada

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Chairman of the South Kalimantan Election Commission (KPUD) Samahuddin Muharram said three pairs of candidates for governor and vice governor are certain to take part in election for regional head or Pilkada in the province which registration is 26-28 July 2015, Antaranews reported.

Samahuddin here on Tuesday said, based on calculations seats in the assembly actually South Kalimantan can apply four to five pairs of candidates, but until the end of the registration is declared only three pairs eligible.

The three pairs are Muhidin-Farid Hasan Aman of independents candidates, then Zairullah Azhar-Safi`i that carried by three political parties namely PKB, Nasdem, and Democrats with a total of 13 seats.

Furthermore, the pair of Sahbirin Noor-Rudy Resnawan which supported by coalition parties of PDIP, PKS, Gerindra, PAN and Hanura which have 22 seats in the South Kalimantan assembly.

In addition to the five political parties, the pair carried by the Golkar of Bali National Conference faction chaired by ARB and PPP stronghold of Romi. However the support of both major parties rejected by the Commission, as it is considered ineligible, among others, do not include a supporting letter of both sides of Golkar.

Commission on the last day could not accept the registration of a prospective mate Gusti Iskadar-Karyono Ibn Ahmad as participants in the elections from the Golkar of Ancol General Assembly faction lead by Agung Laksono.

For the same reason, because the couples who register two hours prior to the closing of the election, not submitted the letter stating the support by Golkar from both sides.
