Two more remanded in 1MDB probe

KUALA LUMPUR: A former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) advisor and an Attorney-General’s Chambers officer have been detained as part of ongoing 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) investigations.

The former MACC adviser reportedly met with Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown in London while the AGC officer was part of the anti-money laundering unit.

The remand order for the two individuals is expected to be issued by the Petaling Jaya magistrate’s court today.

So far, five people including two directors with ‘Datuk’ titles have been arrested and released on bail.-Agencies
