KUALA LUMPUR: 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) said the Public Accounts Committee’s (PAC) hearing has been postponed to a later date.
In a statement Monday, 1MDB said it received through the Ministry of Finance, an official notification from the Dewan Rakyat secretary, who is also the secretary of the bipartisan panel, that the hearing scheduled has been postponed to a date to be determined later.
The earlier dates were Aug 4, 5, 6, 17 and 18 as well as Sept 8 and 10, 2015, it said.
1MDB said it would extend its full cooperation to the PAC and looked forward to appearing before it on the new dates.
“1MDB respects the PAC as the lawful authority and the appropriate forum for questions on 1MDB to be asked and answered.
“We have confidence the bi-partisan committee presents a fair opportunity for 1MDB to explain the company’s position, to a lawful authority, per the requirements of due process,” it said. – Bernama
