1MDB critics will never be satisfied, says Salleh

KUALA LUMPUR: Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said yesterday critics of the 1MDB issue would never be satisfied whatever the explanation given.

This was evident from the continuous criticism hurled by some quarters against Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak even after the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission had said that the RM2.6 billion allegedly deposited into the prime minister’s account came from donors and not 1MDB, he said.

“You can never satisfy the critics,” he said in his latest post on his blog.

Salleh said these people would keep on demanding answers and would not be happy with the answers given by the authorities on the issue.

“They will demand that you do what they want and, when you submit to their demands, they will still not be happy,” he said.

Salleh said the prime minister’s critics alleged that the 1MDB money was transferred into Najib’s personal account and then they demanded to know whether this was true.

The MACC then announced that the money was not from 1MDB but from donors, he said, adding that it was what they demanded to know and that was what MACC confirmed. — Bernama
