Moderate earthquake hits Bali, Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit south of Bali, Indonesia at 1.05pm, today.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department said the earthquake’s epicentre was at 168km southwest of Mataram, the capital of the Indonesian province of West Nusa Tenggara.

However, the quake did not pose a tsunami threat, it added in a statement, here, today. -Bernama
