KUCHING: A woman from Selangor was briefly questioned by police over the display of a car sticker calling for the arrest of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

District police chief ACP Roslan Bek Ahmad said patrol personnel spotted the 31-year-old woman’s car parked at Jalan Kulas around 3pm on Monday and inspected it.

They found a sticker on the rear windshield bearing the words ‘#Tangkap Najib’ so had her brought to district police headquarters for further investigation.

“We are probing this case under Section 504 of the Penal Code, which is the intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of the peace.

“If found guilty, the woman faces a two-year jail term or a fine, or both,” he said, adding that the woman was not arrested but merely questioned over the display of the sticker.

Roslan also advised other motorists against displaying such stickers on their vehicles, saying strict action would be taken against those found breaking the law.
