KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem believes no MPs from Sarawak BN are involved in a conspiracy to topple the government of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Adenan, who is also state BN chairman and PBB president, said it was impossible for Sarawak BN MPs to be involved in the plot that was said to be hatched by an Umno leader and the opposition.

“I have no comments to make at this time, until the picture is clearer. (But) I think it is impossible (for Sarawakians MPs to be involved in such conspiracy) … not from Sarawak,” he said, when reporters asked him after PBB’s Supreme Council meeting here yesterday.

The expose on the plot to topple Najib’s administration was disclosed by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Saturday, when he officiated at Umno Ampang’s delegates meeting in Kuala Lumpur.

Zahid, who is also Home Minister, said the source who alerted him was present at the meeting between the Umno leader and opposition members.

He said the Umno leader was attempting to collect statutory declarations from both sides of the political divide to bring down Najib through a vote of no confidence.
