KUCHING: CIMB Bankers clinched the team title of the Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC) sa rawak Division
bowling tournament at Megalanes Adventure World recently, when Azree Abdul Rahman, Faizul Ilham, Andy Ismail and Dayang salina felled a total of 2,043 pinfalls.
Coming in second place with 1,827 pinfalls were UTes strike
(TM Point & Telekom) comprising Hilman Merais, Osman Wasli, Mohd Asfia Abd Rahman and Kartina Abu Bakar. Double Turkey (RHB Bank) who were represented by Zaidi Hamdan, Ibrahim s a zali,
Zainuddin and Zurita ended third with 1,740 pinfalls while KWsP 2 (Zakaria Julaihi, Ahmad
Nazaruddin Tahir, Radiah Kalia Abdullah and Norlinda Hasran) f inished fourth with 1,652 pinfalls. Ragina Laus, Mawi Lehi, Awang Asfri and satia Lahi of sMsU 2
(sarawak Medical services Union) finished fifth with 1,413 pinfalls.
Azree Abdul Rahman of CIMB Bankers won the men’s individual high series with 576 pinfalls while his teammate Dayang salina took the women’s individual high series with 484 pinfalls.
Fifty-six bowlers from 14 teams
took part in the tournament organised by Women/Youth of MTUC sarawak Division.
MTUC sarawak Division chairman Ibrahim Hamid performed the roll-off while assistant secretary Law Kiat Mui
gave away the prizes.
