KOTA KINABALU: A cyber security manager told the High Court here yesterday that he prepared two cyber analysis reports on a number of exhibits related to the Lahad Datu intrusion.

Fauzi Mohd Darus of Cyber Security Malaysia said he prepared the first report in September 2013, and the second report in April last year, which included refined details of his findings on the exhibits.

“The second report was attached with an ‘Exhibit Returned Form’, upon the request of a police investigating officer,” he said.

He told the court he received the exhibits for analysis on March 29, 2013.

Fauzi was testifying at the trial of 30 individuals linked to the intrusion by Sulu gunmen at Kampung Tanduo in Lahad Datu in February 2013.

He also said he had prepared a CD together with the first report, but did not include a CD with the second one.

“This was because the data in the second report was already in the CD that was submitted with the first report,” he said.

In the dock are 27 Filipinos and three local residents who are facing one to multiple charges of being members of a terrorist group and waging war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

They are also alleged to have recruited members for a terrorist group or wilfully harboured individuals they knew to be members of a terrorist group.

The offences were allegedly committed between Feb 12 and April 10, 2013.
