SIBU: The stellar performance and success of KTS Group all these years are due largely to its people who have served the company with dedication, loyalty, integrity and sincerity.

As such, the deputy managing director of KTS Group, Temenggong Vincent Lau, expressed his big thank you and appreciation to all the KTS staff across all levels for their hard work and precious contributions over the past years.

“I hope all the staff at all levels would continue voyaging with KTS. I firmly believe that with our people continuing to work in unity, we have the strength and resources to face unprecedented challenges and volatility and to move forward on a path of growth,” he pointed out.

He was speaking at the KTS Dinner 2015 held at a restaurant here, on Saturday.

KTS Group chairman Lau Swee Nguong, Kelab KTS president Peter Lau, Kelab KTS chairman Benny Lau, senior managers as well as other managers were among those attending the dinner.

Vincent said over the years, they had sailed through many challenges and changes in the business environment, pointing out that they had not only survived, but managed to grow from strength to strength.

On a different note, he told them not to allow the adverse economic situation to threaten the long established peace and harmony in the country.

“Instead, we should remain united and further strengthen the cordial relationships among the many races in the country.

“We have to work closely together to find ways of cushioning the impact on the economy,” he added.

During these trying economic conditions, he advised them to be prepared at all times and manage their spending closely, whether at personal level or in business.

“Thus, we have to limit waste and put every single cent to good use,” he stressed.

He also said the situation warranted them to manage costs.

“However, smart organisations should not just plan for survival; instead we should also look ahead and brace ourselves as we are sailing through the difficult waters, and at the same time preparing our businesses to prosper in the new environment that is coming.

“Essentially, when the business climate is changing, there is definitely a demand for new capabilities from the talent we have,” he added.

In times like these, Vincent continued: “We need our best leaders, best sales people, most creative minds, most resilient managers and certainly our most capable staff at all levels to work in cooperation and strive together in good faith.

“We will make sure that we weather the current financial storm together and ensure that we drive the business ahead together once the economy picks up.”

Meanwhile, it was a colourful, fun and exciting evening at the ‘KTS Dinner 2015’, which was attended by KTS staff and their family members.

The evening was filled with exciting activities such as karaoke competition and lucky draws.

The annual programme, among others, aimed to further strengthen the relationship among all staff members of KTS across all levels.
