KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem will take part as a panel speaker at the 16th International Anti-Corruption Conference to be held at the Putrajaya International Conference Centre from Sept 2 to 4.

In a press statement from the Chief Minister’s Department, the conference will also see the participation of other world-renowned speakers such as Global Witness co-founder Patrick Alley, Transparency International founder and chair advisory council Peter Eigen, World Vision International Chief Executive Officer and president Kevin Jenkins and Natural Resource Governance Institute and Monique Villa president Daniel Kaufmann.

The New York Times Washington correspondent Ron Nixon and the chairman of 100 Reporters will be moderating at the sessions.

The three-day conference is jointly organised by Transparency International Malaysia and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC).

About 1,000 participants from Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Pacific, Europe, North America and Central and South America are expected to attend the conference themed ‘Ending Impunity: People, Integrity, Action’.
