KUALA LUMPUR: Is it true Malaysians are funnier than Singaporeans? Whatever the answer is, ‘Laugh Die You II – The Mob’ is  coming back to Kuala Lumpur to set it straight.

Fresh from the roaring laughter for its first sold-out show in May 2015, Popcorn Studio Sdn Bhd is proud to organise the comeback, pitting not four, but five comedians, on one stage to resume the unfinished epic laugh battle between Malaysia and Singapore.

The hilarious showdown will take place on Oct 1 and 2 at the HGH Convention Centre, here.

According to Popcorn Studio’s founder and executive producer, Erik Ong, the mob is all about the little known underworld battle of the stand-up comedy scene, sparked by the constant encroachment of Singaporean comedians on Malaysian turf.

Representing Malaysia will be none other that Harith Iskandar and Kavin Jay who will indulge in a verbal shootout against Singapore’s dynamic duo, Jonathan Artherton and Fakkah Fuzz.

Meanwhile, if you’re a fan of Gurmit Singh or better known as Phua Chu Kang, the yellow boots-wearing comedian, he will be hosting the two-and-a-half hour show.

“As always, Laugh Die You, promises an evening of stand-up comedy that is sure to leave your jaw sore,” Ong told Bernama, here, yesterday.

Laugh Die You, a direct translation of the Cantonese phrase, ‘siu sei lei’ which means, to laugh until you die is expected to draw at least 4,000 comedy-lovers to the venue.
