1,224 prisoners getting assessment for clemency

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: A total of 1,224 narcotics inmates throughout South Kalimantan obtain an assessment to be proposed to the president to get a clemency, Antaranews reported.

“A number of prisoners were obtaining narcotics dependency assessment by an integrated assessment team to be rehabilitated and will be proposed Parole (PB) and a presidential clemency,” said Head Division of Corrections South Kalimantan Office of Law dan Human Rights Ministry (Kemenkumham) Harun Sulianto in Banjarmasin on Monday.

This integrated assessment team consists of Head of Eradication BNNP South Kalimantan AKBP Sujono, Head of Suvervision and Investigation of South Kalimantan Regional Narcotics Police AKBP Normawati, Harun Sulianto and Head of Security and Supervision of Kemenkumham Djoko Pratito.

While the medical team are the Head of Rehabilitation BNNP South Kalimantan dr. Sandra, dr Yayuk from Banjarmasin Prison Class IIA and psychologists Nidya Rizky, Suyut Puluh Senoto, dr. Deril Alpitri.

He explained the criteria for drug inmates who participated in the assessment of them Indonesian citizen convicted of Articles 127, 111, 112, 113 of Law 35 of 2009 on Narcotics with prison term of two years and a maximum of five years.

While inmates whose term under two years will be rehabilitated and submitted conditional release program (PB), conditional leave and crash program .

Narcotics inmate who follows the program must meet the elements of which are medical status, occupation, status of drug use, family/social history, psychiatric status, physical diagnosis to obtain employment as a final result to be recommended.
