Jail for two jobless men who caused hurt to wife and mother

KUALA LUMPUR: An unemployed man was sentenced to three months in prison by the magistrate’s court here yesterday for voluntarily causing hurt to his wife.

Ho Wan Seng, 29, admitted before magistrate Saifulakmal Said to hitting and punching Lee Zi Ying, 22, the mother of his four-year-old son following a misunderstanding.

He committed the offence at a house in Taman Aman Putra, Sentul here around 1 am on Aug 29.

Ho was also sentenced to two months’ jail for a second charge of committing mischief and causing damage to furniture at the same place and time.

Deputy public prosecutor Norazlin Mohamad Yusoff appeared for the prosecution while Ho was unrepresented. In the same court, another unemployed man was sentenced to 15 days in prison for voluntarily causing hurt to his mother.

Tan Wai Khuin, 27, admitted slapping Joo Hui Wah, 46, on the face twice in a house at Jalan Hang Tuah, Dang Wangi, here around 6 pm on Aug 30. — Bernama
