KUCHING: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) chairman Mohamad Sabu says the party will consult other new Pakatan partners namely DAP and PKR and get a collective decision before pursuing the implementation of hudud.
“If they support, then we support. If they say no, then no. We will be having the same stand.”
State DAP chief Chong Chieng Jen told reporters that DAP will not support hudud.
“Our stand is very clear. And they will respect and comply with our decision.”
Both political leaders made these remarks during the launch of Amanah Sarawak branch at Grand Continental Hotel in Kuching today.
State PKR leaders were not present at the launch. Amanah announced that state PKR chief Baru Bian was in his constituency and would meet for a ceramah tonight.
