SIBU: The number of motorcycles going missing around Farley Supermarket here has dropped after Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) sets were installed in the area.

Speaking at the community policing project at the supermarket on Sunday, head of anti-crime and community safety, DSP Poge Nyaon, said Farley Supermarket would be the first supermarket in Sibu to sign an agreement with the police on a joint safety campaign.

He said shoppers not need worry about safety when shopping at the supermarket.

He advised supermarkets and petrol stations to install CCTVs and join the campaign.

In addition, he also advised bike owners to lock their bikes to prevent theft.
