LIMBANG: Police in Tedungan have recovered four Brunei cars reported stolen since April, in a recent success.

Limbang police chief Superintendent Mohd Bukhori Saffai said the cars were found from 1.15pm to 3.15pm in Tedungan area following a public tip-off.

“Acting on information given, a team of police from Limbang Crime Investigation Department seized four vehicles with Brunei registration plates that were reported stolen in the neighbouring country,” he confirmed yesterday.

He said the cars were a white Toyota Kijang, a red Toyota Celica, a blue-crème Toyota Corolla and a white Toyota Corolla.

He said the recovery has been relayed to Brunei police, with investigations ongoing and no arrests made at press time.

In another case update, Mohd Bukhori revealed that a woman lost RM2,600 in a house burglary last week.

In the 5pm incident, two washing machines and a non-functioning Yamaha motorcycle were stolen from the house.

“The house was unoccupied since March this year, and the last time she visited the house was in July when all the items were intact,” he said.

The case will be investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
