KUCHING: Sarawak`s pair of Randell Lim Xiu Zhen and Alexis Jap Hsiao Tding will see action at the Cebu WDSF Open Dance Sport Championship, organised by DanceSport Cebu, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in Cebu, Philippines, today.
According to Sarawak DanceSport Association president Chester Lim, Randell and Alexis — who are trained by John Chong — are partnering for competition for the first time as Randell’s regular partner is caught up with school examinations.
Randell amd Alexis will be participating in both Standard and Latin American categories of the world open competition in the Philippines.
Twenty-year-old Randell, who is student of Swinburne University of Technology in Kuching, and 25-year-old dance teacher Alexis are looking forward to the excitement of such a high level of competition.
After more than a year of no competitions due to the duo’s commitments, this Philippine stint is more for the exposure and experience.
