SIBU: Thirty-four BASE jumpers from 13 countries arrived in Sibu yesterday for the Sibu BASE Jump 2015.

They were from Malaysia, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, United States, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Russia, Kuwait, France, and Belgium.

Tamin assemblyman Joseph Mauh Ikeh and Sibu resident Sim Kok Kee officiated at the event with an Iban traditional ritual of ‘miring’ at 5pm yesterday followed by a flag-off for 10 jumpers to leap from Wisma Sanyan building.

The jumpers later went to Town Square Phase 2 to enjoy a cultural night with the locals.
