KENINGAU: The roof of the hall at Kampung Simpang Empat, Sook was blown off by strong wind about 4.50 pm yesterday.
It is believed that several houses and stores also lost their roofs in villages here.
Sook Community Development Leader, Charles Ikang yesterday said power cables and some power poles were also damaged at Kampung Kabatang Baru and Kampung Simpang 4, with some blocking the roads.
“However, the Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) has been notified and will inspect and repair them soon,” he said.
Charles said no one was reported injured in the incident.
