MIRI: A youth was fined RM1,500 in default three months’ jail by the magistrate’s court here yesterday for injecting drugs into his body without the consent of the relevant authority.
Lee Bao Yet, 20, from Jalan Riam here faces the charge under Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act (DDA) 1952 (234 Act) and punishable under the same Section.
The court heard that the accused was found to have taken amphetamine and methamphetamine which come under the First Schedule of 1952 DDA, by injecting the fluid into his body without the consent of the relevant authority.
Lee committed the offence at 12.20am on Feb 13 last year in the Narcotics Crime Investigation Section of Miri District Police Headquarters.
