South Kalimantan BNNP raids Karaoke

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) raided visitors of karaokes in Banjarmasin. Some of them arrested, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“There are six karaokes we raid targeting narcotics and drugs,” said BNNP Chief Kombes Arnowo through the Head of Combating AKBP Sujono here on Saturday.

Six karaokes raided among were Armani, BOEC HBI, Grand, Nasa Luxury and Hokky. Sabhara police and the Military Police Detachment VI Banjarmasin were involved in the raid on Friday night (2/10) at around 22:00 to Saturday (3/10) morning at 01.00.

One by one of the karaoke room inspected and visitors were asked out luggage, either in a bag or pocket.

“For women visitors checked in the toilet there in karaoke. Examination conducted by female police officer,” he said.

When raided karaoke Grand at Jalan Pangeran Antasari, officers arrested six visitors and lead them to the BNNP office. The six men suspected of taking drugs because there are 20 pills of Zhenith found hidden in the table.

“All visitors in the room inspected and underwent urine tests, and then recorded and given guidance,” he said after the raid.

Raids like this previously performed in nightclubs in Banjarbaru, and these activities will continue to be implemented as a form of anticipation for drug trafficking in the region of South Kalimantan.
