PARIS: About 630,000 people have entered the European Union illegally so far this year, the head of the bloc’s border agency said in an interview with French media.

“We registered about 630,000 illegal border crossings as of the end of September,” Frontex executive director Fabrice Leggeri said in the interview with the Ebra press group due to appear on Monday. -AFP
