ACP Junaidi Bujang appointed new Miri police chief

MIRI: Sungai Buloh, Selangor District Police ACP Junaidi Bujang was today appointed as the new Miri District Police chief.

Junaidi, 59, a law graduate from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA) replaced SAC Gan Tian Kee who has been promoted as Sarawak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief since last June 15.

The brief handing over ceremony was made between Junaidi and Miri Police deputy chief Supt Stanley Johnathan Ringgit who was the acting Miri Police chief and witnessed by Gan.

Meanwhile Junaidi urged all parties to work closely as a team to address crime problems in Miri city.

Kuching-born Junaidi, who has wide experience in crime investigation and police traffic, has served 38 years in Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan and Selangor. –Bernama
