Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) chairman Dato Peter Minos said the postponement from Oct 17 was requested by guest-of-honour Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Anthony Nogeh Gumbek.

The time and venue remains unchanged at Kampung Tembawang Sauh off Bau-Lundu Road at 2pm.

On another matter, Minos said the Jagoi-Bratak Bidayuh people from 33 villages in Bau and Lundu districts are excited over the launch of the Bung Bratak Heritage Centre, reputed as Malaysia’s first hilltop historical tourism project.

“They all tell me that they are happy to contribute because they want to be associated with the well known Bung Bratak as a historical and cultural centre,” said Minos.

He thanked Bau District Office, Bau District Council, the Public Works Department and the locals around Bung Bratak for their involvement in the event.

The RM8 million project, located at the 1,000 feet high hilltop of Bung Bratak is supported by the federal Ministry of Tourism and Culture and implemented by the Sarawak Public Works Department.
