Parti Amanah Negara gets encouraging response from Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Amanah Negara, Sabah chairman, Haji Hamzah Hj. Abdullah, says the support from Sabah for newly registered peninsula-based political party is very encouraging.

He said the protem committee of Parti Amanah Negara, Sabah branch, has lauded the approval by the Registrar of Societies in allowing the name change from Parti Pekerja Malaysia to Parti Amanah Negara.

“As of now, Parti Amanah Negara Sabah has appointed several protem branch heads throughout Sabah and registered more than 2,000 members. The response from Sabahans to be members of the party is very encouraging,” he said in a statement.

Parti Amanah Negara is now legally recognised as the youngest party in the nation’s political scenario and aimed to partner with other parties, PKR and DAP, in the Pakatan Harapan.

The coalition was formed recently as initiated by the opposition leader, Dato Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is also PKR president.
