KOTA KINABALU: Having not heard from their daughter and sister, Marylyn Peter, 22, for more than 48 hours, a Sarawakian family is desperately searching for the woman’s Sabahan former boyfriend, seeking the public’s help to locate the man, via the social media.
According to a police report lodged by the woman’s mother in Miri, which was posted on Facebook by Alvin Daniel – believed to be the woman’s brother – and shared by netizens, the family had been unable to contact Marylyn since Thursday, after a last text message to her sister, Adeline Peter at 10.20am on October 1, which read, “Gofran drag me” and “Hide”.
Gofran, or his full name Elbaag Gofran bin Abdul Mohammad, 37, is believed to be a Sabahan whose MyKad stated Kobusak, Penampang as his address and whose last known address is in Labuan.
The woman’s mother stated in the police report that Gofran was Marylyn’s former boyfriend whom she had broken up with in June.
Gofran had allegedly gone to see the family regarding their relationship, but was rejected as he was married.
Worried that something untoward may have happened to her daughter, the mother lodged a police report on October 1, at 11.41am.
A check with the Penampang police station disclosed that no police report had been lodged here on the matter as of yesterday.
