KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, has urged all government departments and agencies in Sabah to further upgrade the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery systems to ensure smooth implementation of public-oriented development projects.
He also reminded all levels of the public service to cultivate integrity, accountability and good governance in their respective organizations.
“The government’s development agenda urgently needs the support of all parties, including civil servants, the private sector and all levels of our society,” said Musa, at the state banquet held in conjunction with the 62nd birthday celebration of Head of State, Tun Haji Dr Juhar Mahiruddin, at the banquet hall of the State Legislative Assembly here on Friday evening.
Present at the ceremony were the Governor and his consort, Toh Puan Hajjah Norlidah, members of the State Cabinet and other state and foreign dignitaries.
In another development, Musa urged the people of all races in Sabah to continue to conserve, maintain and strengthen the existing bonds of unity and harmony amongst themselves.
“It is important to ensure that the development agenda can be implemented successfully through the support, cooperation and involvement of a united and harmonious society.
“The support and continuous cooperation of all parties can help leaders fulfill the mandate and responsibility for the welfare of the people,” he said.
