BINTULU: Westport Malaysia Sdn Bhd beat Kuantan Port Consortium (KPC) Sdn Bhd 4-0 to emerged champion in the Asean Port Association futsal tournament 2015 at Kidurong Club futsal court yesterday.

Joint third were Penang Port Sdn Bhd and Northport Sdn Bhd.

Westsport’s Muhamad Faress Mohd Ismail was the final’s man-of-the-match.

Prizes were presented by Bintulu Port Authority (BPA) assistant general manager (Operation) Captain Zakhir Khan Yusuf.

The tournament was jointly organised by BPA and Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd.

Earlier in the semi-finals, Westport beat Northport 7-1 while KPC win 1-0 over Penang Port.

The 12 participating teams were BPA, Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd (BPSB), Kuching Port Authority, Kuantan Port Authority, Kelang Port Authority, Johor Port Authority, Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd, Westport Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Sabah Port Sdn Bhd, Penang Port Sdn Bhd, Northport Sdn Bhd and Rajang Port Authority.

Tournament technical committee member Bujang Ham said top players will be selected to represent Malaysia in the Asean Port Meet tournament to be held in Vietnam next year.
