PUTRAJAYA: All public and private universities and institutions of higher learning (IPT) can made their own decision to postpone academic and non-academic activities or to close their premises due to the haze.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said they were asked to monitor the seriousness of the haze in their localities.
“IPT is asked to provide the relevant Internal Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and Guidelines as reference to their students and staff,” he said in a statement here yesterday.
According to Idris, the ministry took note of the current haze situation that could bring about impact to the health of the IPT students and staff. — Bernama
