60 youths attend Mind Transformation Camp

LAHAD DATU: The government is committed to fulfilling the needs of the youths, who are future leaders of the country, through programmes that can improve and raise their potential.

Lahad Datu assemblyman, Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal, said efforts to transform the youths are being implemented to fulfill the needs and wishes of the youths so that the country’s development can continue for the welfare of the people.

“The government have launched various programmes to further improve the knowledge and potential of the youths,” he said in the text of his speech presented by Silam Wanita Umno chief, Mizmah Appedullah at the Youth Mind Transformation Camp, yesterday.

Yusof, in his speech, said that this programme is among the efforts implemented by the government through the Ministry of Resource Development and Information Technology (KSKTM) involving various agencies to develop the entrepreneurship potential of the youths.

Such programme, he said, would certainly help to improve the youths’ understanding of business and competition in regard to entrepreneurship.

In the meantime, Yusof encouraged the youths to take part in associations to take advantage of the government transformation efforts to assist the youths in the country’s development.

He added that by taking part in associations in their respective areas, the youths can receive various benefits to fulfill their needs.

The three days programme conducted by Sabah Job Centre and the Ministry of Resource Development and Information Technology was attended by 60 participants from Lahad Datu, Sandakan, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Kunak.
