KUCHING: The Sarawak Taekwondo Association (WTF) is sending a 22-member squad to compete in the 6th TM-NSC-Milo National Remaja Taekwondo Championship in Kuala Lumpur from Oct10-11.

Representing the state are Helena Wong Siew Wei, Iffah Syahirah Abdul Hanif, Desmond Lee Seng Wee, Austin Jason Pui, Iffah Syahirah Abdul Hanif, Kansas Gelin, Bashsheberth Berayan Dayak, Dayang Syaza Aisyah Awang Daud, Njr Humaira Abdul Karim, Dayang Syakirahkhadra Awang Daud, Joseph Ungkah, Agatha Lahai Lipau, Patricia Mujan Mring, Marisa Mujan Mering, Tie Sing Da, Lucas Wong Sie Hong, Annie Lau Yih Jiun, Monica Sharma Sanjeev Kumar, Rebecca John Nedek, Nurul Nur Hafizza Mahdi, Nurul Fatihah Roslan, Amelia Wong and Eimran Ghaffary.

Heading the team is Tan Check Joon while team manager is Syaza Mohd Salleh. They are coached by Joseph Chang, Tie Ton Hung and Ahmady Radi while accompanying the team are referees Thomas Tang, Pui Jak Joon and Tiong Chung Lee.

“It has always been our aim to train more young talents, overcome their weaknesses in preparation for the coming Sukma in 2016 in Sarawak. I hope our team will put up a good challenge in the national meet in Kuala Lumpur,” said WTF president Mohamad Salleh Sani.
